This list of Native Plant Nurseries is current as of June 2023. Many of these nurseries are small. Unless you have been to the nursery previously, we recommend checking their website, Facebook page or calling to ensure that your trip will be successful.
Some wholesale nurseries are listed that may sell retail, but they are not able to sell in small quantities. There are many wholesale nurseries in the Tennessee/North Carolina area that are not listed because they will not sell retail.
The distant mail order nursery websites are a great source of plant information, but sourcing plants locally is preferable since they should be of a local ecotype.
Native plants may also be available at general garden centers – but do your research. We only list nurseries which are primarily native and have limited use of chemicals within their operations.
